A1:
The A1 license cover light motorcycle up to 11 kW and power to weight ratio not more than 0.1 kW per Kg and 125 cc. To obtain the category A1, you have to complete compulsory basic training, theory test, and practical test. The age limit is 17 years old.
A2:
This license requires standard motorcycles which are up to 35kW, the bike must not be derived from the vehicle more than twice of its power.
To obtain this category you can either take a direct test which involves theory and practical test, another progressive access route which involves 2 years of experience on A1 motorbike or have a further practical test. The minimum age requirement for this category is 19 years old.
A:
The A cover all the motorcycles in size/ power, and motor tricycles with the power output over 15kW. To get this category you can either choose the direct access route which you have to pass CBT, practical test and theory test. Other progressive tests held an A2 license for a minimum of 2years and practical test. the minimum age requirement is 24 years.
You can drive motor tricycle, the licenses had separate provision category A licenses cover to ride motor tricycle if you have a physical disability. The driving test for tricycle is only allowed for physically disabled drivers. The basic conditions of driving motor tricycles are, the age limit is above 21 and should have a full car driving license.
